Dave of the DL files (http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/archiveThumbs.aspx?id=8272) poses on the back platform of EL business car #3. This car was originally ordered by the Nickel Plate in 1923 as NKP Business Car #27 (Pullman Lot 4668, Plan 3399). It was renumbered to NKP Business Car #2 in 1929. That same year, the car went to the Erie Railroad as Erie #3. The car contains two staterooms, two bedrooms, crew quarters, galley, dining room, and observation end. It became EL #3 after the merger, and is now at Steamtown in Scranton PA where it has been restored in Erie colors. Date of photo approximate.
