NREX 1237 2023-04-25 E

NREX 1237 idling on one of the spurlines adjacent to Timberland Road at the Fraser Surrey Docks in Surrey, British Columbia. NREX 1237 has been working at the port since around May 2021. She was originally built in April 1959 for CP and remanufactured sometime between 1981 and 1984. In 2007-2008 she worked as the switcher at the now-unused Marpole ‘O’ Yards along Kent Avenue in South Vancouver – parked at the foot of Fraser Street when not in use. She was retired in August 2012 and sold to National Railway Equipment. (April 25, 2023)
