National Railway Equipment GMD SW1200RSm (NREX 1237) parked for the afternoon on one of the spurlines adjacent to Timberland Road at the Fraser Surrey Docks in Surrey, British Columbia. NREX 1237 has been working at the newly-built Fraser Grain Terminal at the port since around May 2021. She was built in April 1959 for Canadian Pacific Railway and remanufactured sometime between 1981 and 1984. In 2007-2008 she worked as the switcher at the Marpole ‘O’ Yards along Kent Avenue in South Vancouver – parked at the foot of Fraser Street when not in use. She was retired in August 2012 and sold to National Railway Equipment. (February 9, 2022)
