ARB. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Nelson Bowers that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 11 November 1952. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4314, #9821, and two more "EF" Class units whose numbers are not recorded. #4314 is an I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an I-1S during November of 1922, rebuilt in Juniata as an I-1SA in December of 1942, and retired in September of 1959. #9821 is an EF-15A built by GM-EMD in May of 1951, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in December of 1967. Partially visible at the left is a pair of Baldwin-built "Centipedes"; in the middle distance are the Coaling Tipple and the Roundhouse situated in East Altoona. Photo taken from the 8th Street Bridge in Juniata.
