Mann. Here is a photo of (R to L) Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9766 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9766 is an EF-15A constructed in January of 1951 and retired in August of 1967 after just 16 years of service. In this context, this A-A set is pulling a manifest freight train from Altoona to Enola. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded. Brad Mann Collection.

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6840, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in September of 1926 and retired in June of 1959. Partially visible in the background is PRR engine #9766, an EF-15A built by GM-EMD in January of 1951, rated at 1,500 horsepower, renumbered "1467" in 1966, and retired in August of 1967. Partially visible in the background is Juniata's 17th Street Bridge.
