Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) 9778 - EMD F7A

Oil Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of (L to R) Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9778 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9778 is an EF-15A constructed in February of 1951. Looks to me like this photo was taken from the last car of a train moving in the same direction. The photographer's name, the date, and the location are not recorded. Produced and distributed by FJC Products of Newport, Delaware.

8th Street. Here is an original photo that I took in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 14 February 1965. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9656, #9650-B, and #9778. All are EF-15A's built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9656 was built in March of 1950, #9650-B in February of 1950, and #9778 in February of 1951. In this context, they're about to pass under the 8th Street Bridge into the Westbound Receiving Yard with a 94-car mixed-cargo freight train and N-8 cabin car #478169.
