Mid-Mountain. Here is an original photo that I took just West of Altoona, Pennsylvania, in mid-June of 1966. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #6040 and #6055. Both are EF-30A's built by GM-EMD in February of 1966 and rated at 3,000 horsepower each. They're serving as tail end pushers on a mixed-cargo freight train heading up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin, where they'll be uncoupled and returned to East Altoona for further assignment.
