BNSF 6554 at the front of a double-header northbound through Connell as we near sunset (fine, this is an excuse to show off the golden light striking the margins of the sage-covered hills... and to finally admit my complete ignorance about the station in Connell - which is *this* one, because the one I like the call the Connell Station actually died just after the'turn of the previous century, not even making useful life as a station past 1908 or so... sigh...).

BNSF 6554 in second of two and hiding in the shadows of the 39th Street over-pass and behind the berm created to make room for the by-pass lane... likely having come out of the shop at nearly the same time with the lead engine sporting sister number 6550.

This afternoon, I was able to catch the new A&M SD70ACe's heading south out of Kansas City. Due to work commitments, I wasn't able to catch them until well south of KC in the hamlet of Fontana, KS, where I caught it pulling south out of the siding. The train was the H-GALTUL-09, and was traveling south on the ex-Frisco Ft. Scott Sub.
