Nice and shiny!
In the consist of the other four SD40-2s
Train 257, which typically got NS power to run through to Jersey, rolls across the Chemung River
Train 257 rolls hard for Corning and Buffalo where the Erie and Lackawanna once sat side by side.
NS units lead 257, a stack train that originated on the NYSW at the NY 352 overpass in Big Flats under an unsetteled sky.
Some stack trains of that era got NS run through power as well, which occasionally got interesting. One of the less common units on NS and Southern before it was the B30-7A. Here we see 3508 leading a 257 train west with 45 stack platforms and 47 cars of merchandise from the NY 352 overpass at Big Flats.
