DYRX 231 Ex AMTK 231 awaits its Restoration back into Amtrak Colors and Eventual Operation. This Engine was part of the Collection in Portland, OR Then Went to Ogden, UT now in Nevada with the Nevada Southern Railway

DYRX F40PH 231 Ex AMTK 231 rests over at the Nevada & Southern Engines shops in the process of being returned to operation, the engine had some bad injectors apparently but work is progressing
DYRX 231, an F40PHR, and DYRX 644, the last surviving SDP40F, sit in the shade at the Utah State Railroad museum. The units have since been set to Boulder City, Nevada, as part of the Nevada Southern Railway.
These two former Amtrak engines modified over the years now call the Nevada Southern Railway home.
It and the DYRX 6944 now call the Nevada Southern Railway/State Railroad Museum home now.

Although I am still confused as to why these trains made it to Utah, their future seems promising. Seems the museum wants to make use of their Amtrak heritage, and there are plans for future service.
