Alco-Schenectady built this 4-6-2 Pacific type steam locomotive in November of 1910 as Chicago & North Western #56 (serial #49020, class E-1). The loco served for nearly 37 years before it was dropped from the CNW roster after 1/1/1947 - presumedly scrapped. Specs - 69" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 22x26" cylinders, engine wt of 210,000 lb and tractive force of 28,700 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo which is now part of my rr collection.
