Bnsf 5886 leads a empty coal up the Hannibal Sub, This being 1 of only 4 daylight trains on the Hannibal Sub.
A Loaded coal train climbs the hill in early morning sunlight. Notice hos the southbound track has sand residue (traction for the uphill loads) and the northbound track doesn't. Also note the flange lubricator by the front truck of the locomotive and the grease marks ahead of the locomotive.

BNSF Southbound Coal Train DPU power heading into the staging yard at Palos, Al. where it will eventually be taken to be dumped at Plant Miller before heading back to the Powder River Basin in Wyoming for loading
