Heartland Flyer #822 departing the Norman, OK station with AMTK 52 (blocked by 1 of the masts of the W Gray Street crossing) leading & AMTK 406 on the back end. This was only the 3rd time that a heritage unit was given a long term assignment on the Heartland Flyer (P42DC #156 has been assigned to this train twice in the past). This was also the 2nd of only 2 times that I've caught #822 in Norman when there was still plenty of daylight.

AMTK 406, the NPCU ex F40PH sits next to the platform at SPUD with the Amtrak Exhibit Train.

Amtrak 48 "Lake Shore Limited" begins to accelerate as it approaches a clear signal at CP 308.

AMTK 406 trails as the third locomotive on Amtrak 48 "Lake Shore Limited".

AMTK 175 trails as the second locomotive on Amtrak 48 "Lake Shore Limited".

Amtrak 48 "Lake Shore Limited" approaches Pump Rd. This location is at QC 308.96 on the CSX Rochester Subdivision. AMTK 406 and AMTK 822 are in the consist. They will go east as far as Rensselaer, NY where they will be used for the Toys For Tots Special that weekend. Amtrak 48 "Lake Shore Limited" begins to accelerate while approaching a clear signal at CP 308.

The sign says it all, I'm retiring after almost 44 years service to the Boston & Maine and its successors.
