This GP40 - seen here working the ICG/Conrail interchange in Effingham, IL - was built as IC 3055 in Feb 1967. In March 1982, it was sold to KCS where it became unit #791. It was later rebuilt to a GP40WH-2 and became MARC 65. By 9/2010 it was retired and would eventually end up in Boise, ID at Motive Power Industries. Who would have guessed back in '79 that it would have such a colorful history?.
