CS 2-8-0 #629 - Colorado & Southern |
| Description: |
Alco-Brooks built this 2-8-0 Consolidation in July of 1906 as Colorado & Southern #629 (serial #40256, class B-4R). In October of 1925, it was rebuilt. Like many of the CS 2-8-0's, this loco lasted on the CS roster for nearly 54 years before being sold for scrap in December of 1960. Rebuilt specs - 57" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 22x28" cylinders, engine wt of 193,400 lb and tractive force of 42,439 lb. No date, location or photographer was listed for this photo unfortunately. |
