Baldwin, 9/1923, nee-CMStP 2-8-2 #8384 (serial #57173, L-sb class) > renumbered in June of 1938 to MILW 484. The loco served for 29 years before being scrapped in Novembeer of 1952. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,770 lb and tractive force of 54,723 lb. This is an Hanft photo in my collection. |

MILW 2-8-2 #484 had it photo taken while it was resting in the MIlwaukee, WI yard. With the window boarded up, it almost appears that it's sitting in a storage line. Baldwin, 9/1923, nee-CMStP 2-8-2 #8384 (serial #57173, L-sb class) > renumbered in June of 1938 to MILW 484. The loco served for 29 years before being scrapped in Novembeer of 1952. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 292,770 lb and tractive force of 54,723 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo which is now in my collection. |
