This long switcher was built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in June of 1954 originally as Monongahela S12 #425 (serial #76016) ex-EMCO 405 > EMCO 7245. Eventually it was sold to the SMS Rail Lines in February of 2005, a shortline railroad in New Jersey. Specs - 1200 hp, turbocharged 6 cylinder 606A prime mover, B-B wheel arrangement with AAR Type-A switcher trucks. This color slide was taken by rail fan Fred Krause and now is part of my collection.
