Alco-Schenectady built this powerful 4-8-4 Northern type steam locomotive in April of 1944 as Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific #5107 (serial #71952). The loco only served for 11 years before being retired and sold for scrap in April of 1955. Specs - class 66A (R-67), oil burner, 74" drivers, impressive 270 psi boiler pressure, 26x32" cylinders, engine wt of 467,000 lb and tractive force of 67,088 lb.
