Baldwin built this solid 2-8-2 Mikado in January of 1911 as Colorado & Southern (CBQ subsidiary) #802 (serial #35896). In April of 1926, it was rebuilt where Schmidt superheater and Elesco feedwater heaters were added to the class. The loco lasted for nearly 48 years before being sold for scrap in May of 1959. Specs - class E-4A, 57" drivers, 170 psi boiler pressure, 26.5x30" cylinders, engine wt of 266,560 lb and tractive force of 53,400 lb. |
