CNJ 632, built by Baldwin, was one of the five camelbacks on the CNJ roster.
Camelback locomotives always look toy-like in some way - must be the early Lionel steeple cab models influence. This 1902 Alco-Brooks unit was a P-6s class camelback. George E. Votava photo gets the photo credit.

Another nice original photo of a fascinating camelback switcher built by CNJ's own shops in December of 1918 (E-1 class). The final disposition is not currently known but the E-1 class was gone by 1954. Robert P. Morris photo credit.

I got a shot of this locomotive when it was working for the Penn Central back in the 70's.It might have been the first E8 painted in NJDOT.It was an Elizabethport rebuild.
I was very happy to hear this locomotive is in Chattanooga,Tennessee safe in the hands of The TVRM.
On july 4,1987 the former CNJ Raritan yard was jam packed with E-8s !
If only the rest of this locomotive looked as good as the PENN CENTRAL logo.
Former Southern Cresent E-8 in New Jersey.
Steve takes a break from looking at the E-8's stored at Raritan.
Endless line of E-8's waiting for a home.
This E-8 was still wearing Penn Central markings in July 0f 1987.This is how I remember them on the New York and Long Branch!
I know it's front coupled, But what choice have I got!!! Photo taken July 4, 1987. Former PRR unit.
