Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Bridgeton, New Jersey, c. 1946. Shown here is Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines engine #6074, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as Pennsylvania Railroad engine "3619" during November of 1913, renumbered PRSL "6074" in 1939, renumbered "9952" in 1946, and retired in March of 1953 after 40 years of faithful service. Partially visible at the far right is PRSL wooden caboose #213. The name of the Railroader servicing the ashpan is not recorded. (Not from "Stoneborobrahch")

One of Winchester & Westerns ex NW geeps works at Bridgeton

The local from Vineland has arrived at the Bridgeton yard and is putting its train of 12 hoppers full of sand away.

The lack of track maintenance on this section of former PRSL track is evident as a Winchester & Western local makes its way into Bridgeton yard at 10 MPH.

Winchester & Western ran a group of ex NW geeps in south Jersey. Several had no makrings beyond initials and a number, but a few had been repainted into this attractive NKP style scheme.

Wearing a paint scheme reminiscent of its original Nickel Plate scheme, this Winchester & Western GP9 was caught in the early morning light at the Bridgeton, NJ, yard. The photo credit on the slide appears to be Bob Eistue or Eisture.
