PRR 4-6-2 #1546 |
| Description: |
On the right in the photo is PRR 4-6-2 Pacific #1546 built by the PRR Juniata Shops in May of 1912, one of the famous K-4s class members. The loco served for over 39 years before being scrapped in November of 1951. The loco on the left is difficult to read its number - something like 5232 or 5982. No location, date, or photographer was listed for this photo unfortunately. Thanks to Tom Beckett and especially Robert Hess (see comments below) for the interesting info on these and identifying the locaiton. Thanks to both of you! |

A pair of E 8s, repainted in the scheme on ELs U34s, which NJDOT used for a few years til NJ Transit took over and implemented the disco scheme, lead a stainless coach that has the sign of a previous era-the PC herald. Four years after Conrail, there were still a lot of cars so adorned. |

Deal Lake Causeway on the NJCL |
| Description: |
Not only is the PL42AC unattractive, it’s not even built in the USA! To add insult to injury, this one was more than twenty minutes late as it crossed the Deal Lake causeway. It is seen moving westbound on the eastbound line, meaning it likely had to wait at Long Branch until the eastbound train (#4344) cleared. |
