This photo was discovered in an antique shop. Taken in Sept. 1938, exact day unknown.

Baldwin built this hefty yard switcher in September of 1930 as Central RR of New Jersey 0-8-0 #324 (serial #61506, class 8564). The loco served for nearly 25 years until being sold for scrap in September of 1955. This is a Neil Norkaitis b&w photo now in my collection.

Baldwin, 12/1913 Reclassified in 1919 to L7as class - reclassified again in 1945 to T38 class - sold for scrap in October of 1954 only 7 months after this photo was taken. A westbound LV manifest flies over the CNJ main at Aldene. The commuter train connection track is visible at left. LV 412 was later DH 412 and survives today as A&M 66. Date approximate.

The "Interstate Heritage" locomotive leads NS 33K west on the Lehhgh Line through Aldene with a trio of GEs. The westbound manifest is being met by NS 23Q, an eastbound well train delivering empties to Croxton.
