Baldwin built this ten wheeler in May of 1911 originally as Georgia 4-6-0 #32. In 1916, it was renumbered GA #153 as seen in this photo. The loco served for nearly 36 years before being scrapped in 1947. Specifics - class A, 66" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, engine weight of 173,000 lb, tractive effort of 26,388 lb. This is a Stuckey photo. Originally built for the Charleston & West Carolina in November of 1950 as their #801 (builder #13023, this SW7 switcher wore ACL #200 before it finally became #718 seen here. Note the jaunty crewman riding point on the step. The unknown photographer listed this comment on the back of the photo - "Atlantic Coast Line #718 crossing 8th St entering Union Sta in Augusta."

Built by GE in June of 1971 as SCL 1803, it was repainted for the USA Bicentennial (2nd one). This 3600hp loco was photographed by J. Parker.

(ex-SOU 3100, exx-PULL TC 1618, nee-PYRITON) dinette - coach rblt. from Plan 2410A 12 Section - 1 Drawing Room sleeper. Used by owner to haul his prize bull to Atlanta, Ga., fair... at last report the car is still in Augusta, unused. This was the last Modernized coach - dinette on Southern's roster.
