The Renfe Series 253 , which has been delivered since 2008, is a series of 100 electric locomotives of the 3rd generation of the Bombardier Traxx family , called Bombardier TRAXX2E F140DC by the company itself.
The class 253 locomotive is single voltage to operate under a voltage of 3 kV in DC. It has a power output of 5400 kW.
