Description:  Original b&w photo by an unknown photographer of Norfolk & Western 2-8-0 Consolidation #684. This loco was part of a large, 212 member class W2 built by vairous locomotive companies. Most in the class were scrapped in the 1920's-1930's but a few persisted into the 1950's. R. P. Morris photo credit.

Description:  Beautiful original photo by R.P. Morris of the 1897 Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin) 2-8-0 Consolidation. After serving the coal fields in West Virginia, it was donated to the city of Bluefield where, as of 2013, resides as a static display in a park. Specs - class G1, bldr #15153, 50" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 20x24" cylinders, engine weight of 120,785 lb, tractive effort of 29,376 lb.
