Wisconsin Central GP35m #2051 started out of Texas & Pacific GP35 #605 built by EMD in January of 1961. It landed on the WC roster as WC GP35 #4002, rebuilt to GP35m #4002 & eventually renumbered WC GP35m #2051. An unidentified rail fan took this color slide which is now part of my rr collection.

A trio of CN locomotives rest on a remnant of the former GB&W main line at Amherst Junction, WI on 7 Mar. '15. The bridge crosses Hwy. KK, which used to be U.S. 10. I am curious to learn why that many axles were halted there, on a truncated remnant of a former main line. I doubt they would devote that much horsepower to service Frontier-Servco FS, out of frame to the left.

CN 2020 shoves three covered hoppers down the connection track and back to the Neenah Sub mainline. The train was servicing co-op located on a remnant of the former Green Bay & Western mainline at Amherst Junction. You can see the rails of the Neenah Sub mainline at the bottom of the photo.

CN through freight is about to pass under the 2nd St. bridge as it heads southeast via former SOO rails at Amherst Junction, WI on 25 Apr. '15. The track for interchange with the former GB&W is rising in the background. This was a chance encounter, otherwise I would have attempted to shoot around the small tree growing on the embankment. While it is clearly visible in the photograph, it was not so visible in the view finder.

The former GB&W main line used to continue from the front of the locomotive out the lower right corner of the photograph toward Plover, WI, that right-of-way is now the Tomorrow River State Trail. CN 8961 is about to fly under the former Green Bay and Western mainline, now the Tomorrow River State Trail. On the connection track in the upper corner, you can see a Herzog maintenance of way train waiting for time on the mainline.
