A colorful consist on this westbound train of stacks and pigs.
Westbound stacks and pigs climbing to Goffs behind a rather faded warbonnet Dash-8.
The infamous 666 was later renumbered to BNSF 599.

Quite a consist!
On the EB track with a WB in the background
BNSF C44-9W 5292 meets ES44DC 7472 west of Needles near Ibis just past the Hwy 95 crossing.
A WB BNSF train does its thing west of Ibis Ca.
To the left of the highway photovotaic and contol/battery box for the block signals. On this side are wind gauges, and battery and control boxes for the grade crossing signals/gates. The propane tank is probably for heating the control box and batteries in the winter.
The train is on Track 1 (westbound) makes a big looping S-curve (Track 2 does not) no doubt to reduce this portion of the grade up from the Colorado River to the high (Mojave) desert. This is a hugh (probably empty containers) train with two DPU pushing. You can see the rear part of the train to the far right.
