An empty coal train makes its way back to the Wyoming mines on the FW&D near Vernon Tex, in a panoramic view of the Texas prairie.

Caught this westbound behind a pair of Warbonnets-with a pole right smack in the middle of the power. Such are the trials of trying to take train photos while driving a truck

Passing some old searchlight signals and interlocking house.

I first saw this locomotive about 6-months ago when it was shipped in from NRE. It looked to be ex-IC then but maybe somebody can identify it.

This location is actually about 12 miles east of Vernon.

BNSF 9995 heads north on the Red River Valley Sub just on the south side of Vernon Texas

Part of EMD's lease fleet that works on the BNSF , this Blue & White looks good

Delivered to Pennsylvania as PRR 7253 in November 1959, this unit would become PC 7253, then enter Conrail as CR 7253. Conrail sent this unit to Illinois Central returning as CR 7590!rebuilt GP10 equipped with Pace Setter Hump Controls and able to be mother units to MT-4 slugs but retained the as delivered high hood. After retirement by Conrail, National Railway Equipment picked up this Geep, chopped the nose, repainted, and renumbered the unit, becomhng NREX 1005 GP10 operating in lease service until joining the Kiamichi roster as KRR 1005. After retirement by KRR this old Geep crossed the border to Texas and now works for Bolton's Wheat Express as BCQ 1005 "Mattie Ruth". BCQ is not an AAR recognized reporting mark but this Geep does not see interchange service.
