Aggregate Industries GP7u #341 is a rehabilitated EMD GP7 diesel locomotive that has been used in industrial switching service, specifically identified operating at the Millville Quarry in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. It was originally built by EMD in June of 1953 as ATSF GP7 2858. Later the ATSF Cleyburne, Texas shops rebuilt the loco to ATSF GP7u #2143. It was later acquired by AIX for industrial hauling. Pictures taken in the last 10 years show it basically dormant in the yard. The color slide was taken by John Yastrzab Jr and is now part of my rr collection. |
