Metra 189 pushes Train 1314 past track workers. The train is running late on account of having to operate on the opposite track around the work area.
NS 1038 eastbound ethanol train passes by workers on a LORAM RailVac under the Congress Park signal bridge.
This local mainly serves the Procor plant in Manhattan and usually runs late at night. After the former Wabash main line was abandoned south of Manhattan in the mid-1990's, this was the only train that ran on this segment of the line until Metra service began in 2005.
Note the stacks of ties. Next week, Metra will replace ties between Manhattan and Orland Park.
