Fairly nice roster shot of the Gettysburg caboose #5 taken by an unidentified rail fan. No exact year was given for the photo.
Gettysburg Railroad caboose #5 was an ex-Pennsylvania Railroad (PRR) N6b wooden caboose used by the Gettysburg Railroad. In August 1991, the caboose was severely damaged by fire while stationed in Gettysburg. Reports from that time described it as "burned out". During its time in Gettysburg, it was located near the former Reading Company station, just a few blocks from the historic Western Maryland Railway station where Abraham Lincoln famously arrived in 1863. No date or photographer was listed for the photo which is now part of my rr collection.
