I grabbed the signal shots and took off, hustling down Country Club Rd to the crossing by the Cobb mill, beating the train for the shot.

The third car is about to pass the signal when it drops red.

I have long found it interesting how long it takes for a signal to drop once the head end has passed. I get that it depends where the insulated joint is, but sometimes it takes a few cars to get there. When I lived in the Southern Tier of NY, the Conrail line there still had semaphores. That was fun to watch.

I had taken recycling up to the transfer station, and is my custon, went up to Davidson Rd to check the signal. Green it is!! This southbound 262 was the quarry.
