In the late 80s, Tioga Central RS1 #47 runs around the train. Ed Griffis is seen in the Conductors uniform. The antique car was owned by the late Ray Shaver, who was instrumental in restoring the Newark Valley depot in the early 80s.

The southbound train pauses at Flemingville, home to the Tioga Transportation Museum. It has several pieces on display, among them some EL and LV freight equipment, and a saddle tank steam engine.
NY 38 runs next to the railroad for much of its length between Owego and Harford, making for good photo possiblities. I took advantage of one of them near Flemingville to get the 47 at speed, such as it was.
The power has run around and the train is now departing for Owego.
