Roster shot of UP 7699
The crew was very friendly on todays train. The engineer asked if I was getting lots of good shots. I would say I have!
NS 13J comes to a stop and the conductor hops out of the van to board the train
Another shot of NS 13J
Creeping closer
The train creeps closer while the conductor who hitched a ride with a yard crew parks behind us.
After NS 64G passed, NS 13J recieved permission to get out of yard limits head out of New Haven. The conductor was at the rear of the train when they finished up their work, and he got a ride down to Lumbard St. where we were parked waiting on it, which is just west of Edsall Ave., which crossing the tracks on a wooden bridge. Sadly, the bridge is closed and will be replaced later this year. We caught the train coming underneath it.
I love it when these museums are next to active tracks! UP 7699 becomes a temporary display as it leads a freight train past the museum.
UP 7699 brings up the rear of NS 174 today. First NS 174 that Ive seen that has had foreign power as the DPU.
