BNSF 5788 leads NS 7615 on a westbound stack train east of Dagget. 5788 is an ES44AC, built by GE in 2005. 7615 is one of 220 ES44DCs owned by Norfolk Southern. These units were originally constructed as ES40DCs, the successor to the C40-9. These units were built exclusively for NS. In the mid 2010s, these units were upgraded to 4400 horsepower, essentially making them ES44DCs.

An empty BNSF coal train rolls northward under blue skies through Sealy, TX (About 50 miles west of Houston) on BNSF's Galveston Subdivision. However, it was just my luck that one of the few clouds in the sky decided to follow the lead locomotive as it moved through town.

Empty Rush Tower Coal Train E-RTRBTM0-31 has arrived in Fuel Pad track F-5 at Lincoln Hobson Yard. E-RTRBTM0-31 is en route from the Ameren Energy Rush Tower, MO power plant to the Black Thunder Mine in the Wyoming Powder River Basin. This train arrived with ES44AC 5788, SD70MAC 9890, 0 loads, 139 UCEX empties, 3494 tons, 7379 feet, and rear DPU BNSF SD70MAC 8812. This train will be a power mod here, with the BNSF 5788 being removed and the BNSF 5796 and BNSF 6179 added to the point before departing.
