MILW 4-6-2 #810 - Milwaukee Road
Title:  MILW 4-6-2 #810 - Milwaukee Road
Description:  This good looking 4-6-2 Pacific type is heading up a freight on this day in 1940. Built by Alco-Brooks in May of 1912 originally as CMStP #1539 (2nd one, serial #51147, class F-5), it was renumbered several times - in 1912 to CMStP 6317 > in 1927 to CMStPP 6317 > in June of 1938 to MILW 810. The loco was finally retired in January of 1952 and presumedly sent to the scrapper's torch. Rebuilt specs - 73" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine wt of 253,000 lb and tractive force of 40,753 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo which is now in my collection.
