In this context, they're about to pass under the 4th Street Footbridge with an 80-car TrucTrain bound for Enola and points East. The cabin car is #477866. At the right are two westbound freight trains awaiting orders to proceed, along with two passenger cars marshalled for reconditioning in the PRR's Passenger Car Shops behind them. Standing tall is the steel Water Tower, last vestige of the Age of Steam. Visible in the center distance, beyond the 7th Street Bridge, are some of the PRR's 12th Street Shop buildings. Photo taken from the 4th Street Footbridge. |
