This is a good looking roster shot of Milwaukee road 4-6-2 Pacific type #808. Originally built by Alco-Brooks in May of 1912 as CMStP #1535 (2nd one - serial #51147, class F-5), it was renumbered several times - in 1912 to CMStP 6313 > in 1927, CMStPP 6313 > in June of 1938 to MILW 808 as seen here. The loco was finally retired in December of 1954 after 42 years of service. Rebuilt specs - 73" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine wt of 253,000 lb and tractive force of 40,753 lb. No date or photographer was listed for the photo which is now in my collection. |
