Alco-Brooks built this 4-8-2 Mountain type steam locomotive in June of 1922 as Denver & Rio Grande Western #1501 (serial #63307). The loco lasted nearly 30 years in service before being scrapped in April of 1952. Specs - 63" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine wt of 377,000 lb and tractive force of 66,640 lb. Tjhis is an Alco builder's photo.
