NS C39-8's #8638 and 8634 were built June 1986

A southbound train is holed up short of the farm crossing at Afton waiting on a recrew. Quite the power mix. One oddity of the CR split was the chance to see Conrail power on the D&H, almost unheard of prior to that time.

C39-8's were quite comon place then.
