BNSF Railway (BNSF) 6021 - GE ES44AC

BNSF 6021 is one of several big GE monsters parked at the South Seattle yard. The 4400-horsepower GEVO was built in mid-2006 as an ES44AC. This unit is powered by a V12 GEVO prime mover, and can carry 5,000 US gallons of fuel between C-C trucks. Visible on the far right is the rear of another GEVO, ES44C4 7994.

BNSF 6021 - BNSF 5477 - BNSF 6526 three-way power group hustling south with mixed freight into Vancouver proper, presumed to go eastbound through the wye in another mile or so to curl away from the sinking sun and shift onto the river-lanes into the night.

BNSF 6021 barreling out from under the 39th Street over-pass leading a triple out of the sunset darkness in front of the maintenance area in the distance, capping off a day of close calls / near-misses - and a significant shutter lag stumbling out of the car which refused to unlatch the seatbelt or unlock the door as this one was caught in the briefest of moments before disappearing behind the trees.
