CSX Railroad (CSX) 4451 - EMD GP40-2

Former Conrail GP40-2 #3398 was handed over to CSX and renumbered #4451 but hasn't received its new paint scheme yet when an unidentified rail fan took this photo which is now in my rr collection.

Conrail ME-2 sitting at the end of the Millstone branch at Jersey Avenue, normally waiting to get back onto the N/E corridor at COUNTY. Phone picture.

Interesting bedfellows; an ex-B&O unit leads an ex-CR unit at the Jersey Shore today. Normally a nocturnal return, yesterday's Conrail SA-31 sat overnight in Lakewood, allowing a somewhat rare Friday northbound trip back to Browns Yard in Sayreville, NJ, just minutes after a large thunderstorm hit this area.
