Great Lakes Central GP-35 #390
Here is the 1st time (and only) I witnessed the Osmer interchange between Ann Arbor RR and Great Lakes Central RR!!!! Supposedly today (Oct 1, 2025) is the day which Watco purchases GLC! This Ann Arbor Railroad train interchanges cars with Great Lakes Central Railroad at Osmer, Michigan in June 2012. Ann Arbor engine #2368 is a GP39-2. Great Lakes Central #396 is a GP38-2 locomotive. The Ann Arbor tracks connect south to Toledo, Ohio while Great Lakes Central connects north to Owosso, MI. Years ago, the entire line was Ann Arbor Railroad. North of the city of Ann Arbor, it became Tuscola & Saginaw Bay Railway between 1982 and 1984. It was later purchased to become Great Lakes Central Railroad in 2006. Tuscola and Saginaw Bay Railway was originally formed in 1977 to operate in Michigan’s thumb. Those lines were sold in 1991. Date approx. (Canon AE-1 Program 35mm camera, Fuji 400 Superia print film)
