WAMX 3502 - WAMX 3828 - WAMX 3821 under early morning Nampa, ID sun.
WAMX 3828 hopefully someone else got a better shot of her than I could manage through all the equipment between me and the unit - morning in Nampa, ID.
GP38-3
Boise Valley RR
Three unit mixed livery
Lots of it here.
In a "proof that anything is possable" lash up, thwo BVRR GP38-3's pull a DIC MP36 that is on it's way to Boston.
The BVRR paints it's locomotives in a BSU inspired paint job. Meanwhile, my car shows it's Vandal pride!
The conductor has turned on the lights for the crossing, the engeneer is still in the other unit.
Heading out after dropping off an empty centerbeam.
Don't know why this sign is nessary, a crosbuck means the same thing. Oh well. The air traffic control tower for the Boise airport can be seen in the distance.
Former BAR unit.
The BVRR crew has receved permision to enter thr UP Nampa yard.
HA! The W&I isn't the only one that does it.
Heading to Greenleaf (eventually) on the Wilder Branch. Lots of works to do at Simplot first.

Our train starts up Nine Mile Hill just West of Touchet, WA
Our trip comes to an end. Once under Hwy 12 at Wallula the train may do some switching or tie down, but I must head for home. On the other side this bridge the track paralells The Columbia River and UP's Washy Line
We leave the summit and head toward the underpass at Hwy 12 near Nine Mile Ranch to get this shot.
Where the train passes under a county road is very close to the crest of Nine Mile Hill. The route exits this trough at the summit.
As our train starts to head south on the hill one can see new technology on the distant hills
At this Cut the tracks turn South then balloon around to keep the grade the same on its way to the top.
