There is an unknown sweeper in front of it. To its side is another sweeper, #5190, and behind it is yet another sweeper, #5192. The Roseville Car House was in the Essex Division. Plow #5245 was built by Public Service Railways at their Plank Road Shops in 1921. It survives today at the Shore Line Trolley Museum in Brandford, CT, where it arrived on Jne 27, 2007, after being stored unused in the Newark City Subway for almost 55 years. |

Ex-CSD M131.1238 |
| Description: |
M131.1238 is an M131 Class railbus, later reclassified a Class 801 under the 1988 renumbering scheme. These units were produced from 1948 until 1956 by Tatra, eventually totalling 549 for the fleet, a very large number when you consider that none remain in service today, as all were withdrawn by 1984, a service lifespan of only 36 years, with some serving less than 30. Their small size may have had something to do with this, as they could only seat 48 people to a modern 810 Classs 55, plus 40 standees, along with their maximum speed of 60Km/h compared with 80Km/h for an 810. Other antiquated features would have been their mechanical transmissions (compared to the 810s hydraulic transmission), and their antiquated Tatra T 301 engines, which were based on the old Tatra T111 from Tatras World War II-era trucks, that in spite of having 14.8 liters displacement from 12 cylinders, only produced about 155-160 horsepower. |

WB. Here is an image of a photo by an unidentified photographer showing a trio of Pennsylvania Railroad passenger train conductors, c. 1900. None of them is identified by name. | Description: |
PRR #7128 (Budd 1952) Parlor/Lounge/Bar/Observation class POC85B. Interchanged on its own wheels in Arizona in July 2022. Involved in a yard accident on the NS at Decatur sometime in late 2022. The car suffered significant damage to the draft gear and coupler pockets, along with (unknown) frame issues when it was hit by a loaded covered hopper during a switching move. After a settlement was reached, the car was released but was still too damaged to continue in one piece. Pre-wreck online images show the interior to be very well cared for but none have surfaced since the accident. |

SAR Derailment |
| Description: |
There's not much left of the cab of 35-408 after 35-403 (visible behind) ploughed into it during the accident. There were five crew members on board and all were injured, the worst having suffered a broken pelvis and broken ribs. Fortunately none of them were riding in 35-408, which was the second unit in the consist. |

CB&Q 3659 |
| Description: |
Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 3659, former gas electric 9843, at Canton, Illinois on an unknown day in September 1980, Kodachrome by Edward M. DeRouin, Chuck Zeiler collection. The slide is marked: Q CANTON D. B. TRAILER. An inquiry at the Yahoo.com CB&Q Group produced the following from Hol Wagner: In the image Chuck posted the car wears faded mineral red paint, and while there are indications (on the roof at the front end) this this paint might have been applied after the car was placed in building service at Canton (if in fact that's where the photo was taken), there are more indications (especially on the roof ventilators above the coach section) that the mineral red dates to the Q era. Several of these converted PMCs were painted mineral red ( I have a slide of 3651 in red ) when their assignment called for their use primarily as a waycar. In later years, nearly all of them were used primarily as waycars, and none of them were repainted after their conversion into trailers at Havelock. Bear in mind that a good many combines used primarily as waycars were painted mineral red, including a number of the steel-sheathed 3530 series cars and many of the older wooden cars. And of course all the 3900 series CW class cars were mineral red. The fact that the car was still on trucks in 1980 indicates to me that it was one of the three cars that were still around when BN was formed in 1970, and BN used mineral red for company service equipment, so the car could have been painted this way in the BN era and faded to the extent shown in the photo by 1980. I just dug out the diagram sheets for these cars, and the window and door configuration perfectly matches the 3659, which was converted in 1952 from the 9843. Adding to Hol's information is the following from R. W. 'Bud' Linroth confirming the location: I have a personal knowledge about this car as I knocked it off the track sometime in the late 1970's. It was the crew locker room/office/supply car. It was located on a short storage stub track down near the International Harvester plant right next to the plant lead. We had just spotted the plant and were reaching in on the stub track to get one car to set it over on a short track on the side of the plant called South Maple. I took the two-unit consist over to the switch, lined it for the stub track and gave the engineer an easy back up sign (we had just passed the car coming out of the plant so the engineer knew it was just in the clear of the plant lead). To make a long story short, the engineer put the engines in reverse and leaned over to put his coffee cup in his grip and did not see me washing out as the engines were coming back too fast. I ran out wide flagging down just in time to see the engines hit the box car. The engines hit the coupler so hard the pin did not drop and the car took off and ran down the stub track about five cars lengths and hit the coach knocking the rear half off of the end of the track. Later the coach was moved about 1½ miles south to where we called two tracks cleaning tracks 1 and 2. These tracks are where the empty box cars for the International plant were stored. It was placed on a couple pieces of panel rail where nobody could hit it again. The power poles in the background of the picture verify this location. No one received any discipline for this incident and the coach/car was not damaged. The only real loss was the afternoon job's conductor had his coat hanging over the stove and the collision knocked it down on the stove where we found it well done. Bud Linroth ex-Canton Road switcher brakeman. |

Our third and final train caught on this day. My buddy Derek was shooting stills while I shot handheld video. The UP Rock Jobs have been scarce since 2007 (nonexistent last year) and it was nice to finally catch one again. |

Note that the stripes on this unit are on the long hood and not the short hood. This indecates the long hood as the front. There is an "F" to identify the front if you look close. Also notice the ditch lights on the long hood end and none to the rear. |
