Startled ravens take to the air as the SL&RG local rolls south on the former D&RGW Alamosa Branch. UP spun this line off with a cluster of other ex-Rio Grande branches, including the route over La Veta Pass. What a life the 453 has had--from Amtrak to Canadian-American to San Luis & Rio Grande!
