817 is actually still in service. 818 was stored at the Beech Grove Deadline after 818 along with 9 were destroyed after 9 hit a truck

Actually, all of the P40s were stored and retired awaiting scrapping when this photo was posted, until an infusion of stimulus money allowed for their rebuilding.
