Basic City Signs (Original Historic Name for Waynesboro)         
Basic City was the original name of Waynesboro, Virginia - the town was originally founded by the railroads (it was the crossing point of the N&W and C&O (now Buckingham Branch). As a location of two railroads, the town attracted industry and grew thus making it an newer city than the neighboring city of Staunton. Eventually, the name was changed to Waynesboro.
