Tony Fernandez	General	I believe the photo's date should read sometime after July 1965, the delivery date of DD35A #82. Although GP35 #743 was built in May 1964, the slogan "Dependable Transportation" didn't appear until 1965 (replaced by "We Can Handle It" in 1972).	7/26/2009 6:27:13 PM

Tony Fernandez	General	I was wrong about the slogan (memory was off by a few years). I just checked my copy of the UPHS "The Streamliner" Vol 22, #1, page 13. Seems that the slogan "Dependable Transportation" actually was first appplied to UP's new SD24s beginning in June 1959, and to the new GP20s beginning in July 1960; so it would seem likely that the GP35s would have had that same slogan applied upon delivery as well in 1964.	7/26/2009 6:48:57 PM
